Voltamp Electrical Contractors, Inc., a certified NYS MBE, MTA & NJ Transit DBE, is a provider of electrical contracting services for the MTA. The firm has a 17-year history as both a prime contractor working directly for the MTA and as a subcontractor working on MTA projects. Competency is the firm’s best attribute. It is our goal to expand our design/build capability by partnering with a recognized electrical design consultant. Voltamp has submitted multiple Design-Build packages to the MTA as a prime and waiting for the responses.

Alpesh Patel founded Voltamp Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 2006. Mr. Patel’s background includes a degree in electrical engineering, trade skills working as a hands-on electrician, project management skills performing significant public works electrical contracts for an MTA contractor, licensure as a Master Electrician in NYC, NJ and Westchester, and licensure as a Master Electrician in NYS for the installation of fire alarm and security systems.

The services provided by Voltamp Electrical Contractors, Inc. include the installation of power, communication, fire alarm and security systems. We have $150M aggregate surety program underwritten by Zurich America. The firm is capable of procuring insurance exceeding the requirements of MTA through our broker, Alliant Insurance Services. Inc. Current staffing includes a senior Project Manager, Project Managers, Professional Engineer, Quality Managers, Safety Managers, and trade labor which is hired on as- needed basis. We offer a competent timely installation with emphasis on safety. Our EMR is 0.80 and we have never had a GL claim. We offer assistance to the client in the event the client’s design does not achieve the intended results.
